Am I the only one that sees this as a sports scandal? This man actually confessed breaking the rules of sportsmanship and ethics and people call it an anecdote?! Ivan Lendl lost a US Open title because of this man's actions and Jimmy Connors had to lie to the whole world about his condition and the merit of his 5th title win!
I'm sure his book is filled with examples of successful negotiations but I'm not too sure if I want to learn anything from Donald Dell.

That is surely from a time when tennis had an easier time capturing our attention and holding it.

You can also never learn too much about negotiation. Book sounds like a winnner.

As an aspiring athlete representative, I view this as a must read book. Dell is one of the most prestigious names in the industry and any tidbit of information that he has to offer is very beneficial. Although I have yet to read the story, it seems as if it can apply to all facets of life as most people unknowingly use negotiation on an every day basis. If Dell does in fact pass down his successful negotiation strategy, we will all be ahead of the game.

I loved that game. Also a great example of persuasion and getting what you want by firm commitment to one's own intent. I think this book will be great for improving negotiation skills - valuable to everybody.

Great anecdote. To me, this is kind of a letter of the law/spirit of the law lesson. Sometimes the bigger picture justifies bending some of the smaller/detailed rules.
